Vineyard :

In the Loire Valley, in the heart of the Coteaux du Layon, Domaine Pierre Chauvin produces a wide range of wines of Anjou. The vineyard of 15 hectares is located in the town of Rablay sur Layon, the wine is made since 2005 from organically grown grapes (2008 was the first certified-vintage). Sandy and gravelly on argillaceaous sub-soils. 30 years old vines and an Organic process with hand-picked harvest. Average yealds : 50hl/ha.

Vinification :

Harvest partially affected by noble rot (first and last sorting). Ageing in tank.

Tasting Note :

Color: beautiful yellow gold color
Nose: yellow fruits flavours, peach, apricot
Palate: sweet whith a nice acidity then a good firmness

Serving Temperature :

Between 8°C and 10°C

Food Association Advice :

As an aperitif, serve with fish, poultry or sweet and sour meals

Drink within 2 or 3 years
