Vineyard :

In the Loire Valley, in the heart of the Coteaux du Layon, Domaine Pierre Chauvin produces a wide range of wines of Anjou. The vineyard of 15 hectares, fully located in the town of Rablay sur Layon, has since 2005 evolved to organic farming (2008 was the first certified-vintage). Sandy and gravelly on argillaceous sub-soils with 30 years old vines. A meticulous Organic process combined with a handpicked harvest. Average yields: 50hl/ha

Vinification :

8 to 10 days maceration of the destemmed, fermentation and raising in tanks during 8 months with its natural yeasts.

Colour: black cherries
Nose: small red berries flavours
Palate: smooth and light red wine

Between 14°C and 16°C
